Chaos Cards is in private beta. This page covers two things: the terms you're agreeing to by applying for a beta place, and exactly what we do with the details you give us. It's written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
Chaos Cards is a product of Chaos Over Consulting Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17307136, whose registered office is at Unit 8 Trinity Place, Midland Drive, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, England, B72 1TX. You can reach us at sukhi@chaosover.co.uk.
You're applying for a place in the Chaos Cards private beta. Applying doesn't guarantee you a place. We select beta participants ourselves and may decline any application without giving a reason.
If we offer you a place, the beta is free of charge for its duration. We'll tell you in advance if that ever changes, and you'll never be charged automatically.
This is the part that matters most. During the beta, Chaos Cards is provided "as is". Specifically:
We're not promising any particular level of availability, and there's no service level agreement during the beta.
Chaos Cards asks candid questions about your business, and workshop answers are shared with everyone in your session — including by email afterwards. Everyone in the room sees everyone's answers. That's by design; it's what makes the workshop work.
Because of that, please don't enter into the workshop:
You're responsible for what you and your team type in. If you do include personal data about others, you're the controller of it and you'll need your own lawful basis for putting it there.
If you send us feedback, suggestions or bug reports, we may use them to improve Chaos Cards without owing you payment, credit or confidentiality. We won't publicly attribute feedback to you or your company without asking first.
You keep ownership of everything you and your team put into the workshop. We use it only to run the service for you, to produce your session report, and — in aggregated, anonymised form that can't identify you or your company — to understand how the product is used and improve it.
We won't publish, sell, or share your workshop content with anyone outside your session.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Beyond that, and because the beta is provided free of charge: we're not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses. Chaos Cards asks questions that may prompt commercial decisions — those decisions, and their consequences, are yours. It's a workshop tool, not business, legal or financial advice.
We may update these terms as the product develops. If a change is material we'll email everyone in the beta before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
This explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. For UK GDPR purposes the data controller is Chaos Over Consulting Limited, Unit 8 Trinity Place, Midland Drive, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, England, B72 1TX, contactable at sukhi@chaosover.co.uk.

Our legitimate interest is straightforward: running a beta programme and deciding who to admit. We think that's a fair use of a work email address given you actively asked to take part.
The updates tick box starts unticked and stays that way unless you tick it. Applying for the beta doesn't sign you up to anything else, and we won't add you to a newsletter list on the strength of an application.
If you do opt in, you can withdraw at any time — the unsubscribe link in any email, or just reply and say so. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect your beta application.
The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated submissions. Turnstile processes your IP address and technical signals about your browser to decide whether you're a person. We don't see or store that data. It's used only to protect the form, not to track you, and it doesn't profile you across other websites.
Once you're in and running workshops, we'll additionally hold:
Session reports are emailed to every participant in that session. If you join a workshop, the others in the room will receive your answers. Please go in knowing that.
We keep the list of suppliers deliberately short. Each acts as our processor under contract, and none of them may use your data for their own purposes:

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't run advertising trackers on this site.
Your sign-up details and workshop content are stored in our database in London. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, that transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent safeguards.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data; correct it if it's wrong; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; or send it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Email sukhi@chaosover.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. There's no charge.
One limit worth being upfront about: if you ask us to delete your workshop answers, we can remove them from our systems, but we can't recall report emails already delivered to other participants' inboxes.
If you think we've mishandled your data, please tell us first — we'd rather fix it. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
This sign-up page sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived token needed to complete the security check — that's strictly necessary for the form to work, so it doesn't require consent. If you join the beta, the workshop app stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay logged in.
